Heute ist ein Leben ohne Temperaturmessung kaum noch vorstellbar, sei es für das Wetter, den Grill, gekühlte Getränke, Handwerk oder Industrie. Die gefühlte Temperatur ist dabei äußerst relativ. Während der Mitteleuropäer bei -2 °C extrem friert, ist es für die Bewohner Grönlands schon frühlingshaft. Zum Glück gibt es dafür Thermometer, die auch berührungslos messen können, wie das Infrarot-Thermometer TV 329 von Testboy mit einer Messoptik von 12:1. Das Pyrometer verfügt über einen Temperaturbereich von -50 °C bis 550 °C (-58 °F bis 1022 °F) und ein hintergrundbeleuchtetes LC-Display. Der Emissionsgrad ist fest auf 0,95 eingestellt, mit dem Material wie Beton, Holz oder lackierte Flächen sehr gut gemessen werden können. Die praktische Pistolenform überzeugt durch seine unkomplizierte Handhabung, und der zuschaltbare Laser ermittelt zielgenau den zu messenden Temperaturpunkt.
